55 Most Effective Organizing Ideas For A Tidy Kitchen

Part 1.
We all know that the kitchen is the heart of the home, but it's also the space that gets the most cluttered - utensils scattered in drawers, small appliances taking up counter space, pots and pans overflowing in cabinets.
A cluttered kitchen is not only unattractive, but it also makes daily cooking and cleaning more difficult. If you want to organize smartly and efficiently, these kitchen organization ideas will inspire you.
“If you find yourself unsure whether to throw away a kitchen item or appliance, try the canning method,” says Jen Nash, senior design lead at Magnet Kitchens. “Put it in a box and store it out of sight, or keep it for another two months if you need it. If you forget about it, it’s time to sell it, donate it, or donate it to charity.”
1. Dish group
Display similar dishes in glass-fronted cabinets for easy access, and try to leave enough space between items to create a clean, uncluttered feel.
2. Install a pull-down shelf system
For most hard to reach high shelves, pull down shelves are a great solution.
3. Eliminate duplicate tools and equipment
Spoons, utensils, and kitchen gadgets quickly accumulate in the kitchen. “While it’s tempting to buy new, trendy kitchen gadgets, it’s more efficient to get into the habit of buying multi-purpose kitchen gadgets,” says Jen Nash, senior design lead at Magnet, so you can significantly reduce the amount of space you have for unnecessary items.
4. Shelves for essential items
Stock your shelves with essential food items to minimize shopping trips. Tip: for products with expiration dates, arrange the boxes with the shortest expiration dates in front of the longest ones.
5. Label food containers
Storing dry ingredients in airtight containers is a great idea until you forget what's inside. To avoid confusion, label each jar with a marker or white-out marker.
6. Add horizontal shelves in the cabinet
Adding shelves will double your storage space. "Measure your existing shelves, and find some new ones the same size that can be attached to your cabinets with hooks," suggests Jen Nash, senior design manager at Magnet. "This trick also allows you to customize your shelving."
7. Use the kitchen island as storage space
More and more people are using open shelving designs for kitchen islands. Small shelves allow you to store ingredients neatly, while still keeping them within reach when you prepare meals.
8. Give things a designated place in the refrigerator.
When everything in your fridge is easy to see, meal prep is more efficient — plus, there's less food waste when nothing's hidden in the back, out of sight. Arrange fresh fruits and vegetables on shelves and in the crisper (leafy greens are best here, for example). Keep dairy products at the top of the fridge and use the lower shelves or bottom drawer for meat.
9. Use rattan baskets to store things
Anastasia Casey of The Identité Collective likes to organize items in wicker baskets "you need to organize them so they're visible so you remember to use them"
10. Keep a separate drawer for electrical appliances.
Say goodbye to messy cords by organizing outlets in drawers.
11. Wall shelf
Interior designer Kate Marker suggests hanging shelves from the ceiling. This multi-tiered shelving system clears up counter space, with a mix of glassware, kitchenware, and decorative items.
12. Drawer with pegboards
This adjustable clip allows you to flexibly adjust to the size of the items in the drawer, and ensures that when you pull out the dishes, they don't bump into each other and break.
13. Magnetic knife holder
The trend of using magnetic knife racks near the preparation area is both a display and a convenience when using. Especially when you have an impressive kitchen knife collection.
14. Frosted glass for pantry
Even though you try to have a neat kitchen, there are areas that cannot be kept tidy, you can use frosted glass which is both beautiful and still helps to hide the mess inside.
15. Display of glassware
Everyone knows that glass products can be used as decorative items in addition to their functional use. Therefore, glass cabinets are a great place to store them.
